Johnson County woman arrested on drug charges, driving while suspended with daughter
JOHNSON, Ind. (August 24, 2015) – A Johnson County woman was arrested on drug charges and driving without a license with her daughter in the car.
An officer pulled over Evonne Lentz, 37, after they discovered the license plate on the car she was driving was registered to a different car. Lentz’s daughter was in the backseat.
The officer asked her for her license, but she said it was suspended.
The officer asked Lentz to step out of the vehicle and he placed her in custody.
When the officer conducted an inventory search of the vehicle he found two hypodermic devices and a metal spoon with burn marks and a cotton swab that looked like it was used to cook meth or heroin. The officer also found a set of digital scales.
Lentz was taken to the Johnson County Jail. She faces four charges including: possession of a hypodermic device, reckless possession of paraphernalia, driving while suspended with a prior conviction in ten years, and a probation violation.
Lentz’s daughter was released to her boyfriend at the scene.
