INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (August 21, 2015) - This weekend, the Indianapolis Colts will host their first home preseason game.
The game against the Bears is Saturday night, but on Friday night, Lucas Oil Stadium will host four local high school teams in the Horseshoe Classic.
These allow for teams to play in the home of the Colts with their own fans in attendance.
“Just the excitement and seeing what’s around you and saying tomorrow night the Colts are going to be on this field playing,” said Mike Prior, Colts Youth Football Commissioner. “What an experience of a lifetime.”
This year, Decatur Central and Franklin Central kickoff at 6 p.m., followed by Roncalli and Southport at 8:30 p.m.

Then, Saturday is the Back to Football Colts 5K run/walk outside Lucas Oil Stadium, finishing inside on the 50-yard line
Kids can also take part with the Kid’s PLAY 60 Fun Run that ends on the field as well.
A portion of the proceeds benefit Riley Hospital for Children.
Doctors there say this event promotes a healthy lifestyle.
“Starting young with physical activity and exercise, making lifestyle choices to promote wellness and overall health, that’s really something that’s going to follow children throughout their life,” said Dr. Emily Webber, pediatrician with Riley Hospital for Children.
The 5K starts at 8 a.m. with the Kids Fun Run at 9:30 a.m.
