INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (August 8, 2015) — Officials say all passengers and crew are safe after a United flight going from Charlotte to Chicago had to be diverted to Indianapolis International Airport.

Airport spokesperson Angela Cain tells CBS 4 that the plane suddenly dropped 10,000 feet during the flight. The plane landed safely in Indianapolis and no injuries were reported. Some passengers did complain of headaches after the pressure drop inside the cabin, and were checked out by medics.

The reason for the mid-air drop is still unknown.
