Two teens robbed at gunpoint walking to State Fair

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Aug. 9, 2015)–Metro Police are investigating two teens robbed as they were walking to the Indiana State Fair, Sunday afternoon.

The teens, ages 18 and 14, told police they had just parked their car shortly before 3:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of Birchwood Drive and were walking to the state fairgrounds.   That area is just a couple of blocks south of the fairgrounds.

The pair said that’s when they were approached by three males around 19-years-old who robbed them at gunpoint of their cash.

According to police the two male victims suffered minor injuries in the robbery.

The armed trio took off running south of the scene.
