UPDATE: The boil water advisory is no longer in effect.

GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (August 8, 2015) – A boil water advisory is in effect for all Eastern Heights Utility customers.

According to a supervisor with Eastern Height Utilities, a water sample taken Wednesday came back positive for E. coli Thursday. The utilities company issued a water boil advisory at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Samples taken Friday “look good” so far. Saturday’s samples are still being tested, and results will be in by noon on Sunday.

Until the all-clear is given, Eastern Height Utilities recommends all cooking and drinking water be brought to a complete boil for five minutes before using.

Anyone with any questions or concerns should contact the water department at (812) 384-8261.
