16 bands compete for State fair Band Day title

Noblesville band prepares for band day finals

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Aug. 8, 2015)–Music filled the air on day two of the Indiana State Fair.

Only sixteen bands of 40 bands with the highest scores from the preliminary round earlier in the day will compete Saturday night in front of the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand.

The top 16 bands will perform in the following order:

  1.  Southmont High School
  2. Blue River Valley High School
  3. West Lafayette High School
  4. Mooresville High School
  5. Yorktown High School
  6. Monroe Central High School
  7. Hagerstown High School
  8. Lebanon High School
  9. Winchester Community High School
  10. Kokomo High School
  11. Northeastern High School
  12. Anderson High School
  13. Richmond High School
  14. Jay County High School
  15. Centerville High School
  16. Noblesville High School

The finals will begin with an exhibition performance from Muncie Central’s Spirit of Muncie Band and Guard at 7:50 p.m.
