INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 5, 2015) – A woman suffered serious injuries Wednesday morning after being struck by a tanker truck.
It happened at Raymond Street and Keystone Avenue on the southeast side around 9 a.m.
Police say the woman was identified as a 20-year-old woman, but her name will not be released until family has been notified. Authorities say the woman was attempting to cross the street and misjudged the distance of the approaching semi.
The woman was taken to Eskenazi Hospital.
Police say the semi driver is cooperating with police and will undergo a standard blood draw.
