Jeff Gordon

PITTSBORO, Ind. (July 23, 2015) – Happy Jeff Gordon Day!

Gordon moved to Pittsboro when he was a teen in order to jump-start his racing career, and since this is his final full season as a NASCAR driver the town has declared a day in his honor!

The town is hosting a parade at noon on Main Street to celebrate his racing career, and the guest-of-honor is none other than Gordon, of course!

Following the parade there will be an awards ceremony for Gordon at Scamahorn Park.

There will be food, souvenirs, rides, face painting and other things at the park through 3 p.m.

Fans all across central Indiana are invited to attend!

The four-time NASCAR Series Cup Champ will make what is expected to be his last appearance as a driver at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this Sunday during the Brickyard 400.
