BY NICOLE PENCE, INDIANAPOLIS,Ind. (July 18, 2015)–More than 1600 Hoosiers supported the 10th annual Walk for Wishes at Fort Harrison State Park Saturday.  It’s a special walk focused on raising money to grant wishes for Hoosier children with life-threatening conditions.

Amy Nelson with Make A Wish, “We are celebrating our 10th year at the walk for wishes.  We have families of past Make A Wish families coming back and it is near and dear to their heart.”

Right now , more than 200 Hoosier kids battling life-threatening medical conditions are waiting for their wishes to come true.

Despite the heat and the humidity, Hoosiers walked Saturday to show future Wish children, they care.

The walk raised more than $200,000 for the Make A Wish organization.  All that money will go towards granting wishes right here in Central Indiana.
