COLUMBUS, Ind. (July 17, 2015) – An intoxicated man in Columbus was arrested Friday for letting his 15-year-old daughter drive.

According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy stopped a pickup truck in the area of SR 46 W and N 325 W at 12:38 a.m. for having an obstructed license plate.

The driver was a 15-year-old female, and her father, Michael Louden, 41, was the passenger.

The girl told police she didn’t have a driver’s license, and she was driving because her dad was drunk.

The deputy arrested Louden on preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Louden was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail.

The girl was taken to the Detention Center where she was picked up by her grandmother.
