HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. (July 17, 2015) – For a time Friday morning, all lanes of I-70 were closed near the 111 mile marker.

Indiana State Police were dispatched around 7:13 a.m. after a single-vehicle crash. State police said the driver of a van fell asleep at the wheel and drove off the right side of the road.

The driver then woke up, overcorrected and lost control. The van then rolled, ejecting some of the van’s four passengers.

The teen driver was taken to Hancock Regional Hospital. Three passengers went to IU Health Methodist Hospital and another went to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. Medical helicopters were called to the scene. The driver and passengers were all from Wisconsin.

Investigators said the injuries didn’t appear to be life-threatening.
