U.S. marshals looking for man wanted on gun charge, considered ‘armed and dangerous’

INDIANAPOLIS (July 7, 2015) – The U.S. Marshals Service is asking for help finding an Indianapolis man wanted on a gun charge.

On Aug. 8, 2013, a warrant was issued charging Charles Ellis, 40, with possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. Ellis is 6’2” and 170 pounds. Investigators consider him armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about Ellis’ whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477 (TIPS) or 800-222-8477 (TIPS). You can also text “INDYCS” plus your tip to 274637 (CRIMES) or submit information online at www.CrimeTips.org.

You will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to a felony arrest.
