KODAK, TN (July 7, 2015) – A little boy in Tennessee got the surprise of a lifetime during a minor league baseball game.

Adam Dowell, 26, is a Sergeant in the United States Army. He had been deployed for the past ten months.

His son Brayden, 5, was at a Tennesse Smokies game with his family on Friday, July 3 when he was “randomly” chosen from the crowd to participate in a game called “Dancing in the Dark.”

Brayden put on a blindfold and started dancing. When the music stopped he took off his blindfold, and he saw his dad standing right in front of him.

Brayden screamed, “Daddy!” and the emotional reunion had everyone on their feet, clapping and crying.

Sgt. Dowell has been deployed twice, but this time he’s home for good.
