Firefighters suspect fireworks caused two house fires

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 4, 2015) -Firefighters don’t have conclusive evidence yet, but based on burn patterns, police suspect two different house fires were started by fireworks late Saturday into Sunday morning.

Fishers Fire Department was dispatched to a residence fire just before 11:00 Saturday night.

When officials arrived at the home on Endzone Ct. there was heavy fire coming from the garage. The fire started to spread into the kitchen, but crews were able to put it out before it got any farther.

The family of 5 made it out of the home with only one person suffering a minor injury.

Then at 1:20 a.m IFD was dispatched to another residence fire at 3222 N. Dequincy St. The home was unoccupied, but it was under renovation and was being used for storage.

Officials believe this fire did around $60,000 in damages.
