MUNCIE, Ind. (June 27,2015) – Heavy rain fell on central Indiana for most of Friday and into Saturday morning.

Some areas saw over 2 inches of accumulated rain.

Muncie was one of the more heavily impacted areas.

Mayor Dennis Tyler said he saw flooding in areas he had never seen before.

Crews worked overnight to do what they could, but the flooding was so bad manhole covers were being blown off of their seating.

The mayor says sandbags are available to those who need them.
