INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 25, 2015) – An Indianapolis Metropolitan police officer decided to take matters in his own hands when a patch of overgrown grass was causing problems.

Commander John Mann was notified by one of his officers of a bicyclist struck by a vehicle on the southeast side of Indianapolis. The driver said his view was obstructed because of high grass at the intersection.

The grass was adjacent to abandoned apartments and the City could not get a crew out to cut the grass for weeks.

So Commander Mann took matters in his own hands, and cut the grass himself.
