Indiana state trooper arrested, accused of boating while drunk
MONROE COUNTY (June 8, 2015) — An Indiana state trooper is on administrative desk duty after being arrested over the weekend in a drunken boating incident.
Indiana State Police said conservation officers from the Department of Natural Resources arrested Justin Butler, 43, Bedford, Sunday on Lake Monroe. According to the Monroe County Jail, Butler was booked on a charge of operating a watercraft while intoxicated. He tested for a blood alcohol content of 0.144, nearly twice the legal limit in Indiana.
According to Monroe County Jail records, this is the second time Butler has been arrested. He was previously arrested in an OWI/public intoxication case.
