‘I’m going home’: Injured hoops star Speidel leaves Indy rehab facility, heads back to Columbus

INDIANAPOLIS (May 28, 2015) – Columbus basketball star Josh Speidel is finally headed home.

Speidel, who’s been recovering in Indianapolis since a Feb. 1 car crash, will return to Columbus as his rehab continues.

Speidel posted a photo on Twitter showing him leaving the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana with his parents.

“I’m going home,” the Columbus North star and Vermont recruit wrote.

Speidel, who suffered a traumatic brain injury in the crash, has continued to improve. Family and friends have rallied around him using #JoshStrong on social media.

The family also posted the following message on his GoFundMe page:

”After 117 days, Josh is returning to Columbus!! We are busting him out! God is GOOD!! The next phase of the ‪#‎JOSHSTRONG‬ marathon begins NOW!! Keep praying and believing!”
