INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 25, 2015) —  A man is recovering after being stabbed in the head early Monday morning. Police are now searching for a suspect.

The incident happened in the 100 block of Edgehill Road, just after 5 a.m.

Police tell CBS4 the victim was awake and breathing when he was transported to the hospital. He was able to give police a suspect description. The victim told investigators his attacker was a white man in his 20’s or 30’s and about 5’6″. He also said he saw the suspect get into a silver Chevy Impala.

As officers searched the area for a suspect, they were flagged down by a woman about a quarter mile away from first scene. The woman told police she had just been raped. According to officers on the scene, the woman described two men who seem to match the stabbing suspect and victim.

Police are now trying to determine if the two incidents are related. Detectives plan to file two separate police reports, though.
