Suspect sought after bank robbery on near east side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind (May 18, 2015)– The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is looking for a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery Monday morning.

Police say the suspect entered the Chase bank in the 3000 block of East New York Street around 11:10 a.m. and demanded money from the teller. The suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect is described as approximately 6’1″ and about 210 pounds. He was wearing a red tank-top, black cargo shorts and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to call the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at (317) 595-4000 or Crime Stoppers of Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS (8477). Callers may also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274637 (CRIMES).
