Man convicted of killing veteran in Craigslist iPad deal sentenced to 50 years in prison
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 6, 2015) – The man convicted of killing a veteran in a Craigslist deal was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
In April, Tyshaune Kincade, 19, pled guilty to the murder of Sgt. First Class Jim Vester on December 4, 2013. Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry announced today that Kincade has been sentenced to 50 years in the Indiana Department of Correction.
Vester responded to a Craigslist ad regarding an Apple iPad. Upon arrival the victim came into contact with two young males who robbed him. During the robbery one of the young males shot and killed James Vester.
Tryon Kincade, 20, is also charged with Murder and Robbery for his alleged involvement in the incident. Tryon Kincade’s trial is set to begin on June 8 in Court 3.
