Two people hit by car after accident on Indy’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (April 28, 2015) – Two people involved in a car accident were then struck by a car near 42nd St. and N High School Rd. early Tuesday morning.

The original accident was between two cars around 12:30 a.m. Two passengers from one of the cars involved in the accident got out of their vehicle, and police said they were struck by a Gold Chevy Malibu that fled the scene northbound on High School Rd.

Police say the driver of the vehicle that contained the two passengers who were struck also fled the scene.

The two people who were struck have been taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital, but neither sustained life threatening injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle involved in the original car accident was also taken to the hospital for observation.

Police are currently searching for the Malibu, and say it may have serious damage to the front.
