Donation money stolen from Hamilton Co. Humane Society
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (April 2, 2015)– The Humane Society for Hamilton County says two women entered their facility shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday with two kittens in a carrier. As staff stepped away to take care of an animal in the lobby, one of the women broke open the locked donation box and took approximately $200.
The two women then left the building and got into their vehicle.
The suspects were taken into custody Thursday night.
The Humane Society for Hamilton County says they were able to capture photos of the suspects thanks to a security system generously donated a few years ago. This is the first time donations have been stolen at this location.
Of their $1 million budget, 73 percent comes from donations. You can donate to the Humane Society for Hamilton County here.
