Robbery at CVS prompts school lockdown, brief chase

INDIANAPOLIS (March 18, 2015) – An Indianapolis elementary school went on lockdown briefly Wednesday while police looked for a suspect in connection with a robbery at a west side CVS store.

Indianapolis Metropolitan police said the CVS location at 10th Street and Country Club Road was robbed around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A brief pursuit followed during which the suspects crashed a car into a tree. Police apprehended two of them.

Chapel Glen Elementary School in Wayne Township remained on lockdown while police searched for a third man. The school lifted the lockdown around 1:30 p.m.

The third suspect was not found, police said.
