PANAMA CITY, Fla. (Feb. 23, 2015)– After two Indiana teens were injured in a parasailing accident in Panama City, Fla., a settlement has been reached in the lawsuit filed by one of the victim’s parents.

The lawsuit filed by the parents of Alexis Fairchild named parasail operator Aquatic Adventures Management Group, owner Jeff Jones and Treasure Island Resort Rentals as defendants.

Fairchild was vacationing in Florida with her friend Sidney Good when the rope tethering them to the ship broke on July 1, 2013. They crashed into a condo building and hit a power line before landing on some vehicles. The girls are from Huntington County.

Both girls were seriously injured and needed several months of rehabilitation.

Wes Pittman, Good’s attorney, confirmed a settlement, saying, “The financial settlements in this case will go a long way toward making their lives much easier.”
