Manhunt underway in Denmark after shootings
COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — A manhunt is under way in Denmark for the people responsible for two shootings in Copenhagen that happened just hours apart.
A gunman opened fire on a cultural center Saturday, killing one man and wounding three police officers in what authorities are calling a terror attack against a free speech event.
The event featured a Swedish artist who had caricatured the Prophet Muhammad. The artist, Lars Vilks, says he believes he was the intended target.
The gunman escaped in a car that was later found empty.
A second shooting near a downtown synagogue happened after midnight.
Three people, including two officers were wounded in the gunfight, however, the gunman got away on foot.
Police do not yet know if the attacks were linked.
