Carmel girls swim team going for the gold, and a national record

CARMEL, Ind. (Feb. 12, 2014) — History could be made at the IHSAA Girls Swimming State Finals on Saturday if Carmel High School does what they do best–win.

The Greyhounds are going for their 29th consecutive state title. The only other squad in history, in any sport, to accomplish that feat is the Punahou boys swim team from Honolulu, Hi. who won their state championship every year from 1958-1986. This year Carmel is looking to tie that national record and get their names in the record books.
