A Know Outlets dropoff box is the only way the organization takes donations.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 10, 2015) –  The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is warning people about scammers impersonating volunteers who are trying to help the homeless.

Know Outlets says five people have reported being solicited for money by their organization.  Know Outlets raises money to help the homeless, but they never ask for donations on the street.

Police say scammers have even printed out materials to look like they are affiliated with the group.

The only way to donate to Know Outlets is to take money to one of their drop off locations around the city.  Here is a map of donation locations:
