INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 2, 2015)– SWAT is on the scene of a situation that started out as argument outside of a west side home between a man and woman.

Police say the heated argument started around 4:30 p.m. Monday and was heard by neighbor who came over to help resolve the situation. The neighbor then got into a verbal and physical altercation with the man.

The man then retreated into the home in the 2500 block of South McClure Street while the woman stayed outside. A neighbor called for police.

The man was said to be inside the home with a second adult female.

The man was believed to have weapons inside home, and SWAT blocked off the street.

Police say the man is well-known to police for previous issues. He is believed to be a person of interest in a homicide from a couple of weeks ago.

Despite efforts by SWAT, the man did not communicate with anyone since retreating back into home. Two bean bag rounds were shot at the home by police.

Just before 7 p.m., SWAT cleared the house and did not find anyone inside.
