Power outage caused by driver

Indianapolis, Ind. (February 2, 2015) — About 500 IPL customers were without power part of the morning after a driver lost control of the wheel and hit a utility pole. It happened on 96th Street in Fishers, just East of I-69 around 2 a.m. Monday morning. Several businesses were without power, including the Meijer gas station. Crews were able to restore most of the power by 4 a.m. No major injuries were reported.
