Man to serve 120 years in prison for double homicide
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 30, 2015)– A man faces 120 years behind bars after being convicted of two counts of murder in connection with the May 2013 shooting of Darrius Lloyd and Walter Harris, Jr.
Brian Williamson was convicted on January 16. Court documents show that Williamson, 22, shot Lloyd, 20, and Harris, 21, who were college students at the time, during a dispute over the purchase of marijuana.
The victims were found in a car near Chase Bank at 42nd and Franklin Road. Williamson’s fingerprint was discovered in the blood on the exterior driver’s side door. The car keys and Lloyd’s wallet were found in a closet in Williamson’s half-brother’s apartment, where Williamson was known to stay at the time of the murder.
Surveillance video from the Chase ATM showed the victim’s car pull up short of the ATM just before midnight on May 1, 2013, then go over a median before coming to rest where the victims were discovered.
Prosecutors argued that Williamson had to steer the car from the back seat after shooting both driver and passenger. Williamson then exited the car and went through the victims’ property before fleeing the scene.
