INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 20, 2015)-- Indianapolis and Beech Grove firefighters rescued two dogs from icy waters Tuesday on the southeast side of Indianapolis.

Two dogs ran out onto ice while chasing geese and ducks in the 5000 block of Skipping Stone Drive around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The pond wasn't quite frozen, and the dogs fell into the water. A neighbor called 911. The dogs were in the water for 10-12 minutes prior to rescue.

The two dogs are a 95-pound German Rottweiler named Tyson and a 60-pound Black Labrador/Golden Retriever mix named Rex.

Both dogs are now OK and comfortably resting at home.
