Indianapolis (January 17) – Family members believe a child started an apartment fire that displaced more than a dozen people.

The fire happened at 10:42 p.m. Friday night at the Kingston Square Apartments at 7134 Twin Oaks Drive.

IFD estimates the damage caused to the apartment at $210,000. An upstairs apartment suffered the most damage.

No one was hurt.

It’s unknown how the fire was started. IFD wants to remind parents to keep lighters and matches out of the reach of young children.
