Muncie PD investigating home invasion at apartment near Ball State campus

MUNCIE, Ind. (January 15, 2015) – Muncie Police are investigating a home invasion at an apartment near the Ball State University campus.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 400 block N Martin St near the Village.

According to The Ball State Daily, three men entered an unlocked apartment above the Chug.

One of the suspects was armed with a handgun, and they demanded the residents’ iPhones and wallets.

They fled the scene in a blue Dodge Neon.

No one was injured, and it is unknown whether the victims are Ball State students.

All three suspects are described as black males, medium height, medium build and dressed in black.

Text and email alerts were sent out to all Ball State students at 11:39 p.m.

The Muncie Police Department is actively searching the area for the suspects.
