Woman drives off I-69, crashes into cable barriers in drunk-driving incident

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (Jan. 7, 2015)– A Fishers, Ind. woman was arrested in connection with a drunk-driving crash on Interstate 69 Wednesday morning.

Troopers responded to the 225 mile marker on I-69 southbound, where they found a 2003 Acura that had driven off the roadway before crashing into the median cable barriers.

A trooper reported he smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver, identified as 21-year-old Mallory Orcutt.

Police said Orcutt’s BAC level was over the legal limit of .08 percent.

Orcutt was transported to the Madison County Jail on a charge of operating while intoxicated.
