INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 5, 2015) - A mall fight captured on video has parents worried about their children’s safety. One couple said their son was beaten up at Castleton Square Mall when a fight broke out there Saturday night. They want to see more rules and security in place.

The family asked to remain anonymous because they are worried about their kids’ safety since those involved in the fight have not been arrested.

The parents tell CBS4 they dropped off their 19-year-old at the mall for a movie.  Minutes later, they heard about a brawl taking place inside the shopping center. They were unable to reach their son on his cell phone.

"The only thing I thought was that there was a serious danger to my son," said the teen's father.

"We went right back to Castleton Square Mall and saw chaos," said the teen's mother. "There were police cars and children infested the mall. It was terrorizing. It's a moment I wouldn't want any parent to have to experience."

Eventually, they learned their son was injured in the fight. He suffered several injuries to his face and had to be taken to the emergency room.  According to the parents, a group of about 15 teens “jumped” their son.

The father said there have been incidents at the Circle Center and Castleton Square malls that show more regulations – like curfews – are needed.

"It's unfortunate that you have to wait for things to transpire for there to be a commitment to make a change," the father said. "It's not just about our son."

They believe their son was targeted because of a verbal argument that happened right before winter break.

"We want to be able to patronize the businesses and know that if our children are there - they are safe and that there aren't other children there waiting to victimize individuals," said the teen's mother.

IMPD said no arrests have been made. The department looked at social media posts which pointed to a possible fight at the mall over the weekend. Officers were on standby and were able to respond to the scene quickly.

Castleton Square Mall issued the following statement:

"Castleton Square is proud to be a shopping destination of choice for families throughout Indianapolis.  Our number one priority is to ensure we maintain a pleasant and safe shopping experience for our customers. We have the staffing, technology, and training to ensure that our patrons enjoy the property for the purposes it is intended. We want to express special thanks to IMPD for their efforts on Saturday night. Their quick reaction and activation of the Emergency Response Group were crucial in dispersing the crowds without incident..We have a long established Code of Conduct that is strictly enforced. Anyone who does not respect the Code of Conduct  will be asked to leave the premises immediately."
