Bloomington man formally charged in four robberies
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 5, 2015)– A man was arrested and is facing charges after police say he robbed several places.
Arnold Jones, 50, of Bloomington, was arrested on December 2 in connection with several robberies.
After receiving numerous anonymous tips from the public, detectives were able to identify Jones as the alleged suspect in connection with four robberies.
Those robberies include:
- Fifth Third Bank on December 27, 2014 (5075 West Washington Street)
- Boost Mobile/American Money Check Cashing on December 27, 2014 (4308 West Washington Street)
- PNC Bank on December 29, 2014 (4355 East 10th St)
- Fifth Third Bank on December 31, 2014 (5075 West Washington St)
On Monday, Jones was formally charged with three counts of robbery and one count of armed robbery.
He is currently being held at the Marion County Jail with a bond set at $100,000.
Jones also faces possible charges in Hamilton County and Monroe County for robbery as well.
