INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 3, 2014) – Cummins will build at 10-story headquarters at the site of the old Market Square Arena.

Plans for the new division headquarters were unveiled Wednesday before the Metropolitan Development Commission. The facility will house 250 workers and will have enough room for up to 400 people.

Cummins said the headquarters will help expand its global reach and allow for better collaboration among employees. It will include greenspace, a parking garage and conference center.

New York architectural firm Deborah Berke Partners designed the headquarters. The building is expected to open in late 2016, with construction set to start early next year.

The Metropolitan Development Commission could vote on the plan as early as Dec. 17.
