    INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were injured Thursday in an early morning fire in the 1400 block of Linden Street. Indianapolis firefighters were called to the scene about 2:30 a.m., where they found the two victims already outside the residence. They had busted out a front bedroom window to escape the smoke and flames.   • I-70 westbound reopens near downtown after accident involving 2 semi trucks

    INDIANAPOLIS — Part of I-70 westbound at the Rural/Keystone exit was closed Friday morning for several hours after a crash involving two semi trucks. Indiana State Police confirm that the two trucks were involved in a collision that caused the interstate closure around 2:30 a.m. No injuries have been reported. After the crash, officials closed all lanes of westbound I-70 for cleanup. Two lanes were later reopened to allow traffic to get through, although backups slowed traffic for several hours. […]

    INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting on the city’s north east side late Thursday night.     SONOMA, Calif. (AP) – Northern California’s wildfires have now killed 31 people – making this the deadliest week of wildfires in state history.   • Home undergoing renovation goes up in flames

    INDIANAPOLIS–A house undergoing significant renovations caught fire late Thursday on the city’s west side. Crews from Indianapolis Fire Department were called to the 2200 W. Washington St. shortly before 10 p.m. The three-story structure had heavy fire showing. Although there was an initial report of a person possible trapped inside, rescuers determined that the structure was unoccupied. The property owner was on-scene. Damage was estimated at about $100,000. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
