    Man, 74, dies after being pulled from burning east side home

    INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis firefighters say a 74-year-old man died after being pulled from a burning home early Wednesday morning. When emergency crews arrived in the 1800 block of Marlowe Ave., they saw heavy fire and smoke coming from the house. A search found the 74-year-old man who was not breathing and had no pulse.     INDIANAPOLIS — The 12 inch diameter water main, located at 8021 S. Madison Ave., has again failed, according to an email from Citizens Energy Group.     INDIANAPOLIS — An IMPD officer responding to an emergency call was slightly injured when his squad car spun out on a slick interstate overpass and struck a guardrail on the city’s west side Wednesday.
