Suspect shot during home invasion on west side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Police are investigating after a suspect was shot during a home invasion on the west side of Indianapolis.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan police, officers were called to the 3600 block of Mill Run Circle around 4 a.m. in response to a reported home invasion and shooting at Center Pointe Apartments.

Officers found the suspect shot in a parking lot. Two other people were hurt after being hit with a blunt object, police said. The incident started in an apartment on the second floor, police said.

Police were investigating if a second suspect was involved, according to IMPD.
