Good Friday morning everyone! Today will be a quiet day with cloudy skies and temperatures reaching the mid to upper 20s.
Light snow is possible for the northern half of the state from 6 to 9 pm.
Overnight a system moving in from the southwest will cause freezing rain and sleet in central Indiana. Light ice accumulations are possible making for hazardous travel conditions.
Temperatures will be climbing during the night and by 3am in the upper 30s, transitioning precipitation over to rain.
Rain showers will continue through Saturday as highs reach into the upper 40s.
An arctic front will move into the state during the evening hours dropping temperatures once again and briefly changing rain to freezing rain & sleet before transitioning to snow overnight.
Some lingering snow showers are possible Sunday morning with light accumulations.
Up to an inch of snow is possible in central Indiana and up to 2 inches possible in northern Indiana.
Arctic air continues to move in Sunday keeping highs in the teens. Out at the bus stop Monday morning temperatures will barely be above 0º. Temperatures climb back into the 30s by the middle of the week.
