Grab the snow shovel & ice scraper as ‘surprise’ snow hits overnight
Central Indiana’s first measurable snow fell overnight. The resulting slick roadways will likely catch many commuters by surprise.
INDOT reports that its salt and sand trucks are working primarily on the interstate highway system. Secondary roads will likely be more troublesome.
Most areas are expected to see under an inch of snow, with bridges and ramps as the biggest trouble spots. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time for the morning commute, and to slow down when driving.
