Tickets on sale for 2017 Indy 500, children 15 and under get in free with adult ticket

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Tickets are now available for purchase for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500.

This year, children 15 years old or younger will be able to get in for free with a paid adult general admission ticket holder. In years past, free admission was only available for children 12 years old or younger.

The race is on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Tickets went on sale Monday morning and can be purchased here. A reserved seat ticket costsĀ $50 and general admission costs $40. Last year for the historic 100th running, all reserve seat tickets sold out.

Race fans can also buy a bronze badge that will grant entry access to the track and Gasoline Alley access for every day in May, excluding race days.

Tickets are also available for Miller Lite Carb Day, the Indy 500 Snake Pit, qualifications and more. There are also family package options at IMS for the first time.

“Many fans jumped at the chance to renew their tickets after this year’s historic race, with reserved seat purchases already trending notably higher than several previous years,” said Indianapolis Motor Speedway President Doug Boles. “The 101st Running is going to be a spectacle worthy of the world’s largest single-day sporting event and we can’t wait to see an enthusiastic crowd celebrate more history and thrills at IMS. Our renewal demand was high, so if you haven’t purchased your ticket yet, now is the right time to get the view you want.”
