Police arrest 18-year-old suspect on drug charges and confiscate drugs, gun, $5,700 in cash

Ontario Frye

UPDATE (November 6, 2017) — Ontario Frye pleaded guilty to dealing in a narcotic drug. All other charges were dismissed as part of his plea agreement. He was sentenced to 3 years, with 1 year suspended. He’ll serve 1 year in the Department of Correction and another year on home detention with Marion County Community Corrections. He was also given a year of probation.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indianapolis Metropolitan police arrested an 18-year-old on various drug charges after serving a search warrant Saturday on the north side

Detectives with the IMPD North District Narcotics Unit executed the search warrant around 3 p.m. Saturday with help from the Flex Team and SWAT. They saw Ontario Frye, 18, leave the residence in the 3400 block of Brouse Avenue and get into a vehicle. Police stopped the car and detained him.

SWAT entered the home and detained two people who were later released. Inside they found heroin, marijuana, a handgun and ammunition and rifle rounds. In addition, police confiscated $5,735 in cash and a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon.

Charges against Frye include dealing narcotics, possession of narcotics, dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance. He was taken to the Arrestee Processing Center for booking.
