INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Donations are pouring in for the Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky since Indiana Gov. Mike Pence became the country’s Vice President-elect.

The organization says it’s received nearly 1,400 donations from supporters around the country since Election Day, amounting to more than $25,000. Their online donation have even increased by 1,700 percent.

Many are making these donations in Pence’s name, in an effort to flood his office with thank you notes. It’s part of trend that started on social media, spearheaded by several celebrities.

The atypical protest comes as pro-choice advocates worry about the future of Planned Parenthood and abortion access under a Trump-Pence administration.

President-elect Donald Trump said in a “60 Minutes” interview that he would appoint conservative judges to the Supreme Court, that he is pro-life and that he would support an overturning of Roe v. Wade.

“We are pleased that this outpouring of support recognizes the good work PPINK does and we welcome the financial support to continue to serve our patients who need us the most,” said Betty Cockrum, President and CEO of PPINK. “Hoosiers have recognized how bad Pence is for women for a really long time and now the nation is joining us in the fight against him.”
