INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Despite the cliché, firefighters don’t normally rescue cats from trees, but the Wayne Township Fire Department recently made an exception.

The department’s firefighters saved a “very large” cat named Milo that had been stuck in a tree for two days.

Fire officials say they receive strange quests at all hours for things like plumbing issues, flooded basements and even cats stranded in high places, but it’s not standard practice for them to respond.

Luckily for cats like Milo, crews do lend a helping hand from time to time.
