A taste of September is on the way

The average high temperature for Indianapolis in late September is 72 degrees. Mother Nature is going turn our weather clocks back two months and we are going to end our work week with near record highs. We'll enjoy our warm up ahead of a  cold front that will eventually move this way. Ahead of the front we'll have gusty winds on Thursday and Friday. This weather system will also bring rain and t-storms late Friday. The rain will continue into Saturday morning and a flurry or two may mix with our light rain as the front passes. Behind the cold front we'll see highs in the 40s and lows in 20s Sunday through Tuesday.
