Joella’s Hot Chicken to hire 75 workers for its first Indiana location; jobs pay up to $14 an hour

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — If you’re in the market for a job, a job fair next week should draw your interest.

Joella’s Hot Chicken is looking for 75 people to fill a variety of jobs at its first Indiana location, which is set to open next month.

The job fair is scheduled for Nov. 14 through Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the restaurant, located at 4715 E. 96th Street in Indianapolis. Jobs will pay up to $14 an hour with positions including managers, cooks, cashiers, guest ambassadors, dining room attendants and dishwashers.

Interested applicants need to bring a valid ID and “a great attitude,” the company said. This is the fifth new restaurant the Louisville-based casual dining chain has opened in the last year. More locations are planned for Indiana and the Midwest.

Grand opening festivities for next month will include a year of free chicken for the first 100 people in line. The date hasn’t been set yet.

Joella’s Hot Chicken offers all-natural, made-from-scratch Nashville hot chicken in six spice levels: Traditional Southern, Spiked Honey, Ella’s Fav, Tweener, Hot and “Fire- in da-Hole.”

The restaurant also serves up homemade side dishes like creamy mac and cheese, sweet-vinegar slaw and kale crunch salad. Other unique offerings include Nutella poppers, banana puddin’ and Boylan craft soda, in addition to local craft beers.
