DUBOIS COUNTY, Ind.—Two people from California were arrested by Indiana State Police troopers after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a significant amount of marijuana.
Jocelyn Sanches, 20, and Edwin Echeverria-Barajas, 21, were arrested on felony charges of possession of marijuana.
ISP Trooper Brian LaRoche pulled over a 2007 Toyota for speeding on I-64 near the Ferdinand exit. After smelling marijuana odor, the trooper conducted a search of the vehicle and found a bag containing 1.7 pounds of marijuana.
Sanches and Barajas, both residents of California, were taken into custody and taken to the Dubois County Security Center.
