SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH issued for several Indiana counties until 2 a.m.

Expect a cool, windy, wet Thursday

While Indianapolis received  less than a half-inch of rain Wednesday evening, a 2-4″ band of rain soaked southern Indiana. There have been power outages due to downed trees and flash flooding has been widespread across the state. More heavy rain is likely overnight into early Thursday. Thursday will be a cooler, windier day with highs in the 50s. Dry weather will return Friday and temperatures will moderate over the weekend.


Heavy rain has fallen across southern Indiana Wednesday evening.


Gusty t-storms are likely overnight.


Flash flooding will continue south of I-70 overnight.


Rain is likely at the bus stop Thursday.


Rain is likely for the Thursday morning rush hour.


Heavy rain is likely early Thursday.


Rain will taper to a few showers late Thursday.


Another inch of rain is likely by Thursday evening.


We’ll have a dry cool Saturday.


Expect warmer temperatures by Sunday.
