While Indianapolis receivedĀ  less than a half-inch of rain Wednesday evening, a 2-4″ band of rain soaked southern Indiana. There have been power outages due to downed trees and flash flooding has been widespread across the state. More heavy rain is likely overnight into early Thursday. Thursday will be a cooler, windier day with highs in the 50s. Dry weather will return Friday and temperatures will moderate over the weekend.
